The Kinis Journal

Morning or evening? A simple guide to each Kinis product

The Glow Ritual: Refresh, Radiance, Vitality and Light Touch

Some products are made for the start of the day, some for the end of it, and many work for both. Here is a simple guide to when to use each Kinis product, so your routine feels clear rather than complicated.

Why timing matters.

A routine works best when each product is used the way it was designed to be. Some belong with your morning SPF, one belongs to the evening, and the rest fit into either. Knowing which is which means you can build a morning and an evening routine without second-guessing.

Whatever you choose, the moisturiser is yours. Kinis does not make one: our serums sit under the moisturiser you already love, and our gel boosters mix into it.

Mornings only.

  • Radiance, our vitamin C serum. Use it in the morning on clean skin, before your moisturiser and SPF, to help skin look brighter. It contains almond oil.
  • Light Touch, our Omega Rich Tinted Sunscreen SPF30. It is the last step every morning, after your moisturiser.

Evenings only.

  • Restore, our natural retinol alternative oil serum with bakuchiol and rosehip oil. Press a few drops into clean skin in the evening, follow with your moisturiser, and remember your SPF the next morning.

Morning and evening, both.

  • Refresh, our Aloe Berry Glow Face Wash, a sulphate-free gel wash for the start and end of the day.
  • Poise, our peptide serum, before your moisturiser.
  • Nourish, our hyaluronic acid serum, before your moisturiser.
  • Vitality, our antioxidant ginkgo gel booster. Mix a small amount into your moisturiser.
  • Awaken, our caffeine gel booster. Mix it into your face or eye moisturiser.

Whenever your skin needs it.

  • Harmony, our prebiotic jelly serum. Mix a few drops into your daily cream, morning or evening, whenever your skin feels it needs balance and comfort.

A simple morning routine.

  • Cleanse with Refresh.
  • Apply your serum: Radiance, Poise or Nourish.
  • Smooth on your moisturiser, with a little Vitality, Awaken or Harmony mixed in if you like.
  • Finish with Light Touch SPF30.

A simple evening routine.

  • Cleanse with Refresh.
  • Apply your serum: Restore, Poise or Nourish.
  • Smooth on your moisturiser, with a booster mixed in if you use one.

You do not need every product. One serum and one booster, used consistently, is plenty to begin with.

When it’s done for you.

Our ritual sets already have the timing worked out. In The Glow Ritual, Radiance and Light Touch are saved for the morning, while Refresh and Vitality are used morning and evening. In The Comfort Ritual, Refresh and Nourish are used twice a day, Harmony goes into your moisturiser whenever your skin needs it, and Light Touch finishes every morning. With The Boost Collection, use Nourish, then Poise, then your moisturiser and SPF in the morning, and Restore in the evening. See them side by side on our rituals page.

Go slowly, and keep it simple.

Introduce one new product at a time, and give your skin a few weeks before adding the next. That way you can see how your skin responds to each one. If you have a question about where something fits, our FAQs may help, or you are always welcome to ask us.
